daily services has a new structure!

daily services was initiated as a Berlin-based artists collective consisting of Angélica Chio (1966, Mexico City) and María Linares (1970, Bogotá) operational in this guise from 1999 to 2003.

After a creative pause, daily services returns with a new structure: the new daily services operates as an open platform made up of a cast of changing artists/members, each of whom follows the initial proposals of the collective in the form of collaborative projects to create situations in which the aesthetic value of everyday experience is accentuated in order to invite reflections on the social and economic nexuses of contemporary consumer society.

daily services art projects are conceived and performed on the premise of concrete collaboration with the ordinary citizen and citizens themselves.

The collective presents itself as a company offering unconventional services intended to recreate the boundaries shaping the ordinary member of society's daily life. The services offered draw on elements from both the formal and informal economies.

...'cause life is hard enough!
